As the first Lincoln nameplate to feature a distinctive, new split-front chrome grille, the Lincoln MKS sets a new standard of sophistication for Lincoln. Subtle accents of chrome along the beltline, fog lamp bezels and front and rear fascias highlight the sedan's confident and fluid exterior lines. And the finishing touch-quasi dual polished stainless exhaust tips-ensures this sedan looks as good going as it does coming.

Welcome to your personal planetarium. The new optional dual-panel moonroof provides a panoramic view of the sky and floods the cabin with natural light. It has solar-tinted glass and includes easy-to-use one-touch controls located conveniently near the rearview mirror. To simulate an open-air driving experience, it has power tilt and open for the front glass, as well as a power rear sunshade that slides back to let even more mood-enhancing sunlight through. The Lincoln dual-panel moonroof: proving that light, in itself, can be the greatest work of art.

Perforated leather trim on the seats help you keep comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside. Both driver and front passenger can relax in the heated or cooled seats with adjustable center console armrests, while rear passengers can turn up the heat with two temperature seat settings.

Also, the 2009 Lincoln MKS includes 12-way power front bucket seats for both the driver and front passenger. In addition, memory settings for two drivers help ensure your perfect position will never be lost again.

The butter-soft Bridge of Weir leather trim featured in the 2009 Lincoln MKS is among the finest in the world. One-hundred percent unembossed, the leather's natural beauty is visible, which makes each leather-trimmed seat of the Lincoln MKS completely unique. The special organic tanning method used for these fine leathers is free of chromium, which creates a product that is recyclable and just as soft and supple as your favorite leather armchair.

Even the most elemental features have been enhanced for the all-new Lincoln MKS. The standard High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps not only provide a whiter, brighter light than traditional headlamps, but they also illuminate a broader path thanks to the adaptive lamp feature. The adaptive headlamps turn up to 20 degrees with the steering wheel angle and vehicle speed to light the road ahead, which help you better see potential hazards crossing your path.

Void of a traditional key, the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start system provides a sleek and easy way to enter and start the Lincoln MKS. As long as the special Lincoln key fob is in the vehicle with you, starting the 3.7L V6 engine is as simple as pushing the start button. In the all-new Lincoln MKS, even the technologies you expect have evolved into more than you ever anticipated.

The Auto High Beam further enhance driving safety by switching to high intensity when no other vehicles are near and reverting to low-beam intensity when they detect the headlamps or taillamps of other vehicles. Additionally, the Lincoln MKS boasts standard fog lamps to help you see in inclement weather, and light-emitting diode (LED) taillamps, which light quicker and brighter than standard lamps.

Aired with the V6 is a smooth-shifting six-speed Automatic transmission with SelectShift®, which operates like a normal automatic transmission but also allows the driver to override automatic mode for upshifting and downshifting. Also available is the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, which gives the Lincoln MKS enhanced road grip when it's needed most.

Sophisticated security. It's just one more innovative set of amenities in the all-new Lincoln MKS. Many of these features are hidden at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it's easy to see safety is top priority.

To unlock the door, simply wave your hand over the invisible keypad, called SecuriCode™. It glows when the keypad is activated to acknowledge your presence. As long as you have the optional Intelligent Access key fob in your possession, it unlocks the doors automatically. If the fob isn't present or is inside the cabin, simply type in your code on the keypad to unlock the door. Also, as long as you have the fob in the vehicle, you can simply press the optional start button and the Lincoln MKS comes to life.

In addition to the keyless technologies, the 2009 Lincoln MKS features a wide array of other safety and security features, including illuminated entry, the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system, SecuriLock¨ Passive Anti-Theft System, dual-stage front airbags,* front seat side-impact airbags, Safety Canopy® System with rollover sensor, and the S.O.S. Post Crash Alert system.

The Lincoln SYNC™ system, powered by Microsoft, grants you the freedom of hands-free control. This voice-activated system uses simple voice commands to dial and answer calls on your Bluetooth® phone, listen to messages, check phone status, stream Bluetooth® audio, browse and play audio files plus more-all with your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

To ensure each trip stays on the right path, Lincoln offers the next generation of voice-activated navigation systems. Not only will equipping the Lincoln MKS with the optional next generation navigation system give you access to many great navigation features, but it also includes the Lincoln SYNC™ system. Furthermore, this next generation navigation system provides turn-by-turn voice guidance, so your attention can stay on the traffic rather than on the dash.

The standard forward sensing systems can detect objects in front of the Lincoln MKS to make parallel parking much easier. At speeds below 8 mph, the system alerts the driver to obstacles with an audible beep. The four sensors in the front bumper can also sense the height of objects like parking blocks, which helps you keep the lower front bumper free of scrapes.

As polished inside as it is out, the Lincoln MKS was built not just for the luxury of the driver, but for all the occupants. Portable media players connect with ease in the all-new Lincoln MKS thanks to the audio input jack located in the center console. And the optional THX® II Certified Car Audio System with 5.1 Surround Sound delivers 600 watts through 16 strategically placed speakers including a 10-inch subwoofer.
